Healthy Heart Rate
A healthy person is one who has a healthy heart rate as well. Heart Rate is the amount of heart beats in a second. The Heart rate is so important for the fact that it corresponds to the state of functioning of heart. So it is very important that we learn about it in a detailed manner.
What is Heart Rate?
Heart Rate is nothing but the series if heart beats taking place during one cardiac cycle. The Heart normally beats at a particular rate while resting and relaxing and it keeps changing depending on the exercise that we do. For example, if you run for five minutes, your pulse goes up and so your heart rate. So your heart responds differently during different actions and thus the heart beat rate can never be a constant.
The interesting thing to note is the fact that the Heart Rate changes in the presence of heart disorders like Arrhythmia and Congestive Heart Disease. Normally the Heart Rate or the Heart Beat Rate is measured with the help of a stethoscope, which clearly records the heart beats. So your doctor can easily predict whether you have cardiac problems or not.
Even a small change in the heart best rate means the presence of Heart Disorders in the body. So the heart rate is very essential in determining the health of a patient. Normally when the heart beats, there are electrical changes in the heart muscle which is measured by the Electrocardiogram. Irregular heart beat rate can be easily identified by looking at the graph and diseases can be diagnosed. So Heart Beat rate is so important for tracking the heart. Diseases always put strain on the heart and it functions either slowly or it is accelerated as in the case of Hypertension. In all these cases the heart beat rate will either fall or rise and is considered abnormal.
Healthy Heart Rate:
The medical world has laid down some guidelines to follow to assess the state of a patient. According to the rules the heart beat rate is assessed and then diagnosed for problems. Increase or decrease is considered abnormal and the patient is then given necessary treatment for cure. The healthy heart rate for a person resting ranges from 70-74 beats per minute. Also this figure keeps on increasing as we do more exercise. Also the healthy heart rate for infants is slightly high ranging from 130-150 beats per minute.
As age increases, the heart beat rate tends to go up. However very high increase or low heart rate spells problems for the person, so it is highly advised to keep ourselves fit and drive away all the heart disorders by maintaining a good health!
