The Complete Picture:
The number of five million affected by this disease in the world is only expected to rise every year as the heart diseases are becoming common everywhere in the world. The heart valves are one of god’s wonderful creations which are the basis of the functioning of heart. The heart keeps pumping blood and this process of pumping is carried out by the heart valves as they function like a computer system. The necessary valves open and close thus facilitating the movement of the blood. Also it is responsible for the blood pressure and the pulse which we can feel. The heart valves open and close in a time less than a second thus maintaining the flow of blood.
When the valves malfunction, there arise severe problems to the affected patient which may even lead to death of the patient. So your strives harder to force the blood out of it and if the valves do not obey then it may lead to very severe complications like Angina and it can result in Cardiac Block as blood flow to the heart may be stopped. Also the other problem that arises with it is the wrong direction of flow of blood. The valves when they are healthy function in such a manner that the blood flow is smooth and unidirectional.
What will happen next?
As expected the patient suffers from life threatening situations as death will seem imminent to the affected patient. The patient suffers from slight to severe pain in the chest as the blood struggles to force through the valves. Also the person may have shortness of breath or sometimes even difficulty in breathing. This may happen even if the person is resting in the bed. So the affected patients cannot escape from the sufferings. Also medical experts say that dizziness may also occur and the person becomes more and more tired day by day. The other symptoms are the palpitations causing serious discomfort to the patient along with swelling of ankle and the feet. Also it is said that the affected patients suffer from increase in weight.

But treatment can also be carried out by the patient himself by changing his lifestyle like non consumption of high cholesterol rich diet, avoiding smoking and diabetes. So if we can stay away from all these, it is said that 75 % of the disease gets cured by itself!!!!
