Yes Obesity is one of the major risk factors behind all the heart disorders and other health problems as well. Obesity is defined as the storage of excess of body fat resulting in significant impairment of health from a variety of diseases, namely hypertension, Arrhythmia and other serious heart disorders.
The storage of too much fat in the waist area invites a lot of problems for people. These problems include Hypertension, High amount of cholesterol in the blood, Diabetes and finally if not treated properly may lead to death as well. So it is imperative that people who find themselves obese should try to correct it immediately failing which it becomes a lot tougher to get cure from diseases. Firstly it raises the blood cholesterol levels in the body and hence causes severe problems to the patient. The other problem that it poses is that increases the LDL level in the blood which helps in cholesterol levels to increase in the blood. Also it results in hypertension touching new heights and also the birth of diabetes in the body which is the mother of all problems of the body. In other words, it causes complete destruction of the body and the person loses his health status completely.
What can be done?
The only corrective process is to make sure that the person gets adequate exercise. Exercise is the best method of reducing the effect of obesity. Also a proper diet is a must for reducing obesity as the diet has always been the major cause of obesity. You may also need to contact your doctor as obesity may also be caused due to some genetic disorders in the body. But we can at least reduce it by going though a phase of proper exercise and diet.
